A natural polysaccharide, produced by different seaweeds (Chrondrus crispus, Gigartina stellata, Euchema spinosum, E. cottonii) in Europe, Asia and America. It is a complex mixture of polysaccharides.\
\Used as thickening agent and stabilizer. It can be found in desserts, ice cream, milk shakes, sauces, beer, pates and processed meat - Substitute fat to increase water retention and increase volume.
