Peanut Butter Recall

For those of you that love peanut butter as a snack you must read this article.

The Food Standards Agency is warning consumers not to eat certain peanut butter and peanut-based products which have been imported from the US becuase of possible contamination with Salmonella.

Salmonella is a bacterium that causes food poisoning.

The strain of salmonella called Salmonella Bredeney in the US has been linked to peanut butter produced by a company called Sunland Inc.

Walkers Sour Cream and Chive Withdrawn

Walkers Sour Cream and Chive Variety 6 Pack, best before dates: 12 January 2013 and 19 January 2013 have been withdrawn from sale.

Although milk is mentioned in the allergy advice box on individual packs of Walkers Lighst Sour Cream and Chive flavour crisps, milk is not listed in the ingredients list.

If you are allergic or intolerant of milk, do not eat this product.

Harrods recalls Leonidas Belgian Chocolates

The following products are being recalled from sale due to the products contain allergens that are not declared in the ingredints list.

Therefore if you are allergic to or have an intolerance of wheat (gluten), nuts, milk or egg, do not eat this product.

Asda Recalls Free From 5 Chocolate Wafers Which May Contain Gluten

The Food Standards Agency announced today that Asda Free From 5 Chocolate Wafers may contain gluten.

Asda Free From 5 Caramel Wafers and Asda Free From 5 Chocolate Wafers may contain gluten (wheat) at levels higher than those permitted.

This is a potential health risk for individulas who are allergic or intolerant to wheat or gluten.

Date codes: Best before 24 December 2012, 14 January 2013 and 21 January 2013.

Morrisons Celery, Fruit and Peanut Salad May Contain Gluten

The Food Standards Agency announced today that Morrisons Celery, Fruit and Peanut Salad, 250g.

Use by date: 27 October 2012.

Morrisons has withdrawn this product becuase it may contain pesto pasta, which contains gluten.

This is not declared on the packaging of the product, posing a potential health risk for people who are allergic to or intolerant of wheat or gluten.

Tropicana Kids Orange Juice Drink Being Recalled

PepsiCo is recalling 277  units of  Tropicana Kids Orange Juice Drink multi-packs because they contain only water rather than the orange juice blend.

The water is affected by microbiological contamination.

If you have bought the product, don't drink it.

The Agency has issued a Product Recall Information Noice.

Tropicana Kids Orange Juice Drink, multipack 4 x 200 ml

The affected cartons will be easy to distinguish because they do not contain batch or date codes, either on the outside packs or the internal cartons.
